Auditions for 2009-2010 Season

 

Current Auditions:

Wait Until Dark

When: 

Sunday, December 6th 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Monday, December 7th 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

 

Where:

416 Centre Street, Whitby, ON

 

Roles:

We’re searching for 6 males (ages 25-50) and 2 females (1 age 15-20 to play a 9 yr old character) and (1 age 30-50)

 

Preparation:

Actors are to come prepared for various scenes from the script. Actors wanting a copy of the script can contact the Director, Jennie Ottoway at: (905) 668-5524. For synopsis of the play see the Season page.

 

SWEENEY TODD!

Ever wonder if you have what it takes to make "the best pies in London"?  Ever wanted to give or receive "the closest shave you'll ever know"? Do you have homicidal tendancies and a strong singing voice?

Then come on down to the theatre and audition for a role in Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, as our director Doug Craven prepares to assemble "the Best Cast in Whitby" for our November 2009 production of Hugh Wheeler & Stephen Sondheim's musical thriller!!!

 

When:  June 21, 24, 25 at 7:00pm

Where:416 Centre Street, Whitby, ON

Roles: 7-12 men, 7-10 women, ...various ages

Preparation: Actors to prepare a song showing their vocal range. Also be prepared to sing "O Canada" a capella. Rehearsals will begin in the summer.

 

The Long Weekend

When: 

Monday, September 21st 7:00pm - 9:00 pm

Wednesday, September 23 7:00pm - 9:00 pm

 

Where:

416 Centre Street, Whitby, ON

 

Roles:

We’re searching for 2 males and 2 females between the ages of 30-50

 

Preparation:

About Auditions

Whitby Courthouse Theatre ("WCT") is a non-profit group that welcomes all experience levels to our team. Whether this is your first stab at making a debut on stage, or your 100th, all are welcome to try out for our shows.

Specific notes will be provided here for what our Director is wanting to see for their show, but here's a few general tips to keep in mind.
