Auditions!

Whitby Courthouse Theatre ("WCT") is a non-profit group that welcomes all experience levels to our team. Whether this is your first stab at making a debut on stage, or your 100th, all are welcome to try out for our shows.

Specific notes will be provided here for what our Director is wanting to see for their show, but here's a few general tips to keep in mind.

Current Auditions:

FOREVER PLAID

written by Stuart Ross Musical Continuity Supervision and Arrangements by: James Raitt.

One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was.

Audition Dates:

Auditions will be held at Whitby Courthouse Theatre in the Centennial Building at 416 Centre Street South in Whitby. Please prepare a song and wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as you will be asked to sing and dance.

Cast:

Four men all close to the same age are required. (late 20's to early 30's or late 30's to early 40's)

Performance Dates:

November 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 of 2008 with rehearsals beginning during the summer of 2008.
